LUBRAPEX 2009 – Portuguese - Brazilian Philatelic Exhibition – Days eight and nine


Two postmarks dedicated to the ‘Dia dos Correios” and “Dia do Alentejo”.


Referring the today’s postmark motif it is necessary to remember the amazing cork stamp of the ‘Sector Corticeiro’ 2007 issue.

It was the first time that cork was used as support material to create a stamp that represents a Quercus suber (sobreiro in Portuguese), support a strategic economical sector for Portugal.

Portugal is the world biggest producer of cork and its derivates.

Just to inform that all the 230.000 stamps issued was sold out.

LUBRAPEX 2009 – Portuguese - Brazilian Philatelic Exhibition - First day


First day at exibhition.

Two letters were sent with the corporative stamps 'The Stamps and the Sense: Delta'. All stamps from this emition have a partucularity. In the case of this one, it has smell: coffee.




Delta is a enterprise awarded by United Nations, because of fair trading.
It boss is one of the biggest friend of East Timor. He support this country in it sustentable development.
Like these two cover, several others were sent to my frinds from all of the world.

LUBRAPEX 1988

LUBRAPEX 88 was, as the 2009 edition in Évora.
On that date, theme was Évora worls heritage town by UNESCO.
To comemorate, was issued a souvenir sheet designed by Maluda a Portuguese painter.


The theme of the souvenir sheet is a well known window of this historic town.

The value is 150$00.

They were issued 100 000 and they circulated between May, 13th of 1988 and August 31st of 1995.
