Referring the today’s postmark motif it is necessary to remember the amazing cork stamp of the ‘Sector Corticeiro’ 2007 issue.
It was the first time that cork was used as support material to create a stamp that represents a Quercus suber (sobreiro in Portuguese), support a strategic economical sector for Portugal.
Portugal is the world biggest producer of cork and its derivates.
