1st of December ‘The Stamps Day’ in Portugal

Commemorative philatelic exhibition of the Stamps Day at Braga.

This year, the special post mark is dedicated to the XVIII century baroque church ‘Igreja dos Congregados’, one of the most emblematic religious monuments of the city.

The design of the church as responsibility of the Braga’s architect André Soares. Beyond Baroque, are visible the influences of Rococo and Neoclassical architectural styles. On the side adjacent to the church, ran a convent of the Oratory of St. Philip of Nery and who currently is installed on the Integrated Center for Teacher Education of Braga.
